Learn skills and knowledge in safe and hygienic food practices and how to responsibly serve alcohol. Training is face to face under the guidance of our supportive and experienced trainers. Suitable for people looking for work in food outlets or in licenced premises. 

This course is a Centrelink approved activity. People with a disability are encouraged to apply. 

What you will gain 

Practical skill set for entry level work in hospitality including licenced premises and food retail outlets and: 

  • Statement of Attainment SITHFAB0021 Provide responsible service of alcohol 

  • Statement of attainment in SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety 

  • Liquor Control Victoria Certificate 

  • Credit transfer and pathway to further study in hospitality, food  

Course Content 

Statement of Attainment for successful completion of units of competency listed below: 

Units of competency:  

SITHFAB0021 Provide responsible service of alcohol 
SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety

*Liquor Control Victoria issue your RSA Certificate of Completion. To receive this certificate, you must complete Liquor Control Victoria’s online module Sexual Harassment and Assault: Recognise, Prevent and Respond.

Course Delivery 

Classroom based, with access to kitchen facilities, under the guidance of supportive trainers.

Practical activities, case studies, written exercises, online assessments
