Our Cafe Operations course combines practical skills training on a commercial espresso machine with learning language specific to hospitality and tips for job searching. Acquire the skills, confidence and readiness for entry-level hospitality work or further study.

Course Delivery  

Classroom based, dedicated and experienced trainers provide a supportive and friendly learning environment. Small class numbers, laptops provided. 

Time: 9:30 am – 4:00 pm 
Days: 34 days over 8-9 weeks 

Assessment 

Practical activities, case studies, written exercises, online assessments

1. Evidence of Citizenship – One piece of identification from the list here 
2. USI number –  You must have a USI number before applying for a course

Prerequisite 

*SITXFSA005 Use Hygienic practices for food safety is a prerequisite for SITHFAB025 Prepare and serve espresso coffee is a pre-requisite for this unit

Do I have to pay?  

There is no cost to you if you are eligible for Victorian Government Skills First funding. For more information on eligibility please go to Skills First eligibility Victorian government skills first funding 

If you are not eligible for Victorian Government Skills First funding fees will apply. Please go to Fees and charges 

You may also be eligible for fee support through the Jesuit Social Services Student Support Fund. For information on the Student Support fund please go to Student Handbook
